We have had the privilege of working with owner Una McDonell on brand design for Le Hibou for over a year now. I say privilege because Una’s free spirited vision has been the guiding inspiration for all we have created. Her vision touches everything at Le Hibou – the décor, the food, the ambience and the staff. It is a unique gathering place for those who wish to truly relax into a savoury experience. My shoulders always drop the minute I walk through the door.
Nestled in the heart of Wakefield it is at once vibrant as it is soothing. Your server will be engaged without being obtrusive. The food is fresh with a rustic flare made with care, I taste it every time. The atmosphere is interesting, there is always something or someone catching my attention. If you haven’t been yet, I urge you to try a weekend brunch, lunch après-ski, or a dinner with friends before a show at The Black Sheep. Don’t be shy, for although you would like to keep Le Hibou a secret for yourself – it needs to be shared to be properly enjoyed.
